Fri 3 Mar ... cont'd
Peter had booked us into the Little Gem Saloon on South Rampart St for a meal and jazz music supplied by the Leroy Jones Quintet. They were great musicians performing jazz standards on trumpet, trombone, piano, bass and drums. It was a great night with tasty soul food.

Sat 4 Mar
Time to move. Packed our bags ready to get to the airport. Taxi has a set price of $36 to the airport. Security for domestic flights is amazing: body scans, baggage x-rays, shoes off, etc. had a fairly long wait before our flight and were lucky to score seats in the very last row (so close to the toilets).
Arrived in NYC at LaGuardia Airport and caught a taxi to our Airbnb apartment in -4 deg C temperature. Trip took a while but got us there without problems. Unit is small but has everything we need and hosts were very helpful.
